David French Virginiana Library

In January, 2007, the Amherst County Museum received a donation of seven crates of books. The books, donated by David French of Amherst County, were a collection brought together over the years, focussing on Virginia's history and natural features from the Chesapeake Bay to the Appalachian Mountains. Below is an inventory of the collection, briefly annotated. Please note that for security reasons, this collection is not housed in the public research area; please contact the curator in advance if planning to do much research in this collection.
