Amherst County Museum and Historical Society - The Ralls Apple Tree

In November, 2009, noted apple historian Tom Burford presided over the planting of a Ralls Genet apple tree at the Amherst County Museum.

Mr. Burford presented a delightful narrative outlining the history of the Ralls apple and its connection to Amherst County's horticultural heritage.

Those present took advantage of the opportunity to taste this Amherst County heritage apple.

The event concluded with a selection of apple goods available for those looking for apple pies, cakes and jelly to have on hand for Thanksgiving.
